Old Railroad Station – Querétaro

The Old Railroad Station is a majestic building of European style, with beams made in wood and a sublime quarry stone façade. It was inaugurated on 1903 with the arrival of a train from Mexico City.

With over one hundred years of age, this historic precinct, considered one of the most notable examples of the Mexican railroad infrastructure, takes us to the 20th century, when railroads were the most modern means for transportation. On 1996, the passenger trains ceased to exist, and there was a failed attempt to turn it into a book warehouse. Presently, it is a place for art and culture of the state.
