This gallery preserves and spreads the plastic, documental and mural work of David Alfaro Siqueiros and his contemporaries. It is located in Polanco, the place where the artist lived and worked most of his life. It was inaugurated on January 29 1969, but it was until 25 days before the artists’s death, on January 6th 1974, when Siqueiros formally bequeathed his house and his collection to the people of Mexico. Since 1988 it belong to the National Institute of Fine Arts.

The facilities of the building were readapted in 1994. The collection is integrated by paintings, drawings, graphic works, models, mural drafts –most of them made by the artist-, books, photographs, documents, and works of art that the same master gathered along his life. It has six halls and a library. It offers guided visits, lectures, temporary exhibitions, round tables, courses, workshops. It sells books and posters.

Entrada libre todos los días para estudiantes, docentes y adultos mayores al presentar credencial vigente. Domingo entrada libre general. El museo cerrará el 25 de diciembre y 1 de enero.
