Fondo de Cultura Económica

Fondo de Cultura Económica (Economic Culture Trust) stands out because it is a publishing house with an ample criteria where the Spanish speaking authors and in foreign languages, have the opportunity to expose their ideas with absolute respect to their freedom of expression. For this, in the course of the years it has published works by many and really brilliant talents, which comprise the always updated catalogue of our enterprise, one of the richest and more diverse in Latin America.

The history of FCE goes back to 1934, when Daniel Cosío Villegas, one of Mexico’s greatest intellectuals of the 20th century, understood the need to create a specialized library in Spanish, with its focus on the students of the recently created: National School of Economics.
