El Vicio Theatre-Bar, previously El Hábito, located in the Madrid street 13, in Coyoacán, was a place conceived and opened by Salvador Novo on 1954, as a forum for the artistic expression. In the hands of the actress Jesusa Rodríguez, and the composer Liliana Felipe, and with the name El Hábito, it became one of the main spaces for cabaret in Mexico. From 2005, the cabaret company Las Reinas Chulas took the reins of the place to continue the artistic project that is the reason why it was opened, and keeps it active until today. In El Vicio Theatre-Bar, the young artists have a place to express themselves, have fun and develop. The house is open to anyone who wants to be part of an alternative cultural movement and manifests against the globalization of art. Because the spaces for culture are scarce and the cultural policies try to end with them little by little, this is a space that defends and demands the rights of the artistic alternatives to express.
