Enclosed in the middle of the City, by the banks of Laguna de las ilusiones, between Paseo Tabasco and Adolfo Ruiz Cortines Boulevard, it brings together two museums, a zoo, fountains, reference centers, entertainment areas, children’s games, multipurpose halls and more. Few strolls are so enjoyable in Villahermosa as the one you can do here, any day in the afternoon. The main reason the park is so pleasant is because it was designed and conceived to be a recreation area in its full extent. Founded in 1930 with the name of Tabasco Park due to Tomás Garrido Canabal’s initiative, it was originally meant to house the cattle and commercial fair organized every year.

In the park you can row, rest, read, play sports… The sculpture sets that decorate the paths recall the history of Tabasco and, in general, the harmony of the of the atmosphere favors the relaxation. The Las Águilas viewpoint is located in the center at 50m high which is worth go up to have a magnificent view of all the park, the Laguna de las ilusiones and the city. Among other areas of cultural and social diffusion there are a grand saloon, the Agora, an outdoor forum and an annex room used for conventions and congresses given the isolation it has and the idyllic atmosphere around it. Even though they are not inserted on the same land, the La Venta park, museum and zoo and Museum of Natural History are located here.
