As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) and 500 years after the landing of the Spanish on the coast of what now is Veracruz, the wealth of pre-Hispanic cultures settled in the Gulf region, is exhibited.

Integrated by more than a thousand pieces, the exhibition Gulf. Ancestral Mosaic, is the first great exhibition that this venue dedicates to the pre-Hispanic cultures of the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

The Olmec, Huastec, Totonac, Zoque and the Nahua are merged to show the richness of a cultural region, through different expressions that include the language and architectural, sculptural and ceramic forms.
