Typography is the technique of drawing, crafting, and organizing the space of letters (types), under parameters of form and design, which enables them to accomplish their labor of transmitting messages and facilitating the reader’s sight.

Since the Renaissance, typography has played an important role in art, but it was until the 20th century when artists used in their works types from the printing machines, from newspapers, tags, or handwritten phrases that alluded to types. Some artistic movements, such as cubism, used typography to allude to different levels of content, and also to the role the written letter had played in the development of the avant-garde movements.

The Letter is Learnt with Art is an invitation to take our glance towards the useful beauty of typography, its presence in art as well as in everyday life.
