REVIEW

It frames the entrance to De los Fuertes Avenue –Loreto and Guadalupe–, which leads to the 5 de Mayo Civic Unit.

The Arch was built between 1781 and 1788, together with the avenue and fort of the same name, as a part of the works for the defense against the invasion of the American army.

In its southern face, we can see the city coat of arms, and in the top, the archangel Saint Michael, patron saint of it.
