It was built during the first third of the 20th century, on 1885 and concluded on 1895. Which substituted the old City Hall, which was destroyed by an earthquake. It is the best example of the Neoclassical style of the engineer: Carlos Zacarías Flores García.

A space for research and preservation about the history of San Cristóbal de las Casas, its archive, cultural and artistic legacy. The museum opens its doors to give a cultural offer according to the identity of the community.
