Telmex Auditorium

It is one of the main buildings of the University Cultural Center of the University of Guadalajara, also called Transformer. On the opening day it changed its name to Telmex Auditorium of the University Cultural Center, due to an economic agreement with the telephone company.

On July 22nd, 2003 the first stone of the University Cultural Center was placed and it was officially opened on September 1st with the presence of the Spanish Tenor Plácido Domingo. It is the biggest Auditorium of its kind in Mexico, it even exceeds the capacity of the National Auditorium.

It will be one of the most modern and functional in the world.
