REVIEW

It was an important Pre-Hispanic settlement during the Late Classic Period in which it established itself as an independent political center. Its geographic location allowed an important role in the cultural exchange between the sites of the Upper and Lower Usumacinta River.

¿CÓMO LLEGAR?

One arrives to Pomoná through the Federal Highway 203 Emiliano Zapata-Tenosique, in the kilometer 47 +920 take the detour to the left through a paved road leading to the Pomoná 2a Sección community. It is necessary to drive two kilometers [one mile] through this road to get to the archaeological zone.
