REVIEW

Tehuacalco was a grand ceremonial center thanks to its location The site was planned according to the Pre-Hispanic worldview, with five directions, thus generating its conception as a center for farming cults, which is confirmed with the presence of symbols of the solar transit, of Venus, and the counting of celestial cycles engraved on stone.

¿CÓMO LLEGAR?

The archaeological site is located one hour away from Chilpancingo de los Bravo or from Acapulco. Take the Autopista del Sol (95D), toll highway, then take the exit to Tierra Colorada or through the Federal Highway México-Acapulco No. 95, at km. 57 there is the junction to "Haciendita 4" that leads to the archaeological site. There are road signs. Visitors can arrive at the site by public transport; however, they still have to walk to the entrance of the site.
