REVIEW

Teotihuacán is considered the first urban settlement of Mesoamerica, with a highly stratified society. The commercial and political links of the site with the region extended to the north, up to the Alta Vista site in Zacatecas, and to the south, up to Kaminaljuyú and Tikal, in Guatemala. Its main occupation dates from the Early Classic period (200 – 600 CE).

This site was inscribed in the List of World Heritage of UNESCO with the name:
Prehispanic City of Teotihuacan
