Aguascalientes House of Government

REVIEW

This majestic palace, located in the southern part of the square is the only civilian building built on the 17th century that remains. The highlights of this building, which was a rich mansion, are its beautiful façade made with red tezontle stone and blazons carved in pink quarry stone; inside, 111 semicircular arches present a pleasant set in its two courtyards, adorned with beautiful murals, works made by the Chilean painter Oswaldo Barra Cunningham, which narrate the story of this city.
