REVIEW

The image of the station represents the emblem of the Federal Executive Power.

The word “zócalo” is a term from architecture, meaning the plinth, or base, of a construction.

On the times of President Santa Anna, it was projected to build a monument to the Independence which wasn’t constructed, and the only thing that was erected was the base for it. It was removed because it obstructed the activities of the pedestrians.
