Museum House of Tiles


It was inaugurated on December 8th, 1985, and it has kept the objective of protecting and promoting all types of historic objects related to the state of Tabasco, from the century XVI to the XX.  It preserves, likewise, the House of Tiles in Villahermosa, which was built in 1889 under the design of the work holder Jacinto Cabrales and which, with time, was used as a house, shop, government building, hotel and guest house.  The collections that it exhibits in its four permanent rooms are named: Environment, Europe from the fifteenth century to the XVII, Exploration and Conquest, The Colony period, Independence, The World.  
The Tabasco History Museum is a national architectural monument from the 19th century, which protects, preserves and promotes the objects, documents and historic testimonies from the 14th century to the 20th century, which reflect the memory, the cultural and historic values of the state and the nation.
