Jesús Terán House – Aguascalientes

  • PHONES: (449) 915 1741 y 916 0894

Located in one of the most important streets in the downtown of the city of Aguascalientes, Rivero y Gutiérrez, formerly San Diego, there is the house where José de Jesús Rafael Terán Peredo spent most of his childhood. According to Don Alejandro Topete del Valle, chronicler of the city, it was erected as a home on 1795, on the orders of Felipe Pérez de Terán, and was built by Felipe de Ureña, a constructor of homes and master of the works made on the last stages of the Temple of Encino.

The Terán House was inaugurated on April 25, 1992, on the commemoration of the 126th anniversary of the death of Jesús Terán. Today, the house maintains a peaceful environment; its corners full of history are the ideal spaces for reflection and study, activities to which Don Jesús Terán dedicated a large part of his life.
