The San Agustín Arts Center is the first ecological art center in Latin America, it’s located in the ex factory of Hilados y Tejidos La Soledad founded in 1883 by José Zorrilla Trápaga to make cotton manta (coarse cloth).

The mission is to be a space of encounter to form, experiment, create and artistic spread through programs that link art, community and environment. In order to do so, CaSa promotes high level artistic creation with ecologic production processes by incorporating new technologies. In the same way, it develops artistic projects for the community aimed at encouraging creativity in children, youth and adults in San Agustín focusing in recovering and looking after the natural resources and an approach to art.
