The Sonora in the Revolution Museum is located in what once was the home of Mr. Francisco Obregón, who kept for a long time a private museum. Through efforts made by both the Government of the State and Obregón family it is achieved to rescue this property and exhibit here pieces of a high historical value that were under the protection of General Álvaro Obregón’s family.

Looking to highlight the importance of the region and the participation of our people and characters in the Mexican Revolution, we have a museum with an interactive - pedagogical proposal that invites the public to not only learn about the history but delve into it. It opened its doors to the public on October 29. 2009.
