University Cultural Complex of the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla - BUAP

The University Cultural Complex was inaugurated on November 10, 2008 in response to the commitment that the national public university has with the society that nurtures and gives it life. It was conceived and built as an open window to promote every cultural, artistic and technologic expression generated in the institution and as a venue for manifestations that coincide with us as a result of agreements with other institutions in the country and of the rest of the world.
The complex gathers the efforts of the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla to create a space that enriches the way in which the community perceives, feels and relates to culture improving their quality of life. It is a space to promote and spread art and culture as well as integrating scientific and technological knowledge of the university community with the objective of founding the values to act and interact with sensitiveness, knowledge and human quality before society and every cultural exponent. The center develops a critical humanism as part of the daily university commitment as an avant-garde space in culture and arts; it maintains a leadership position regarding cultural expressions to create the values that encourages the environment in the university and in the general society; its principles are the good service and team work.
