Located in the Former Convent of Santa Inés, two blocks from the Main Square (Zócalo), built on the 17th century and built again by the architect Manuel Tolsá on 1798, this museum harbors the work donated by José Luis Cuevas. IN the collection predominates the contemporary art from Latin America, but there are also works from Europe and North America.

The permanent collection of the museum is made up by over 1900 works of art by different artists. They are permanently exposed in the different rooms and areas of the museum.
