Arte Alameda Lab

Located in the old San Diego convent, it is a place that housed the Pinacoteca Virreinal from 1964 to 1999. The building dates from 1591 and today is dedicated to projects about expressions in electronic media like video, video-installation, web art and interactive installations, as well as, research, production and spreading of electronic art.

Throughout the year, Laboratorio Arte Alameda presents exhibitions created expressly for them, seasons of experimental movies and videos, concerts, workshops, classes, conferences, guided visits and an electronic and normal quarterly publication.

The colonial building has six areas dedicated to art: the atrium, the main nave, the Dolores Chapel, the low cloister, the choir, and a recent added room.
