The cultural heritage that illustrates the historic development of the city of Merida, is framed by the majesty and beauty of the former Federal Post Office Palace, opened in 1908 by the governor of the state, Enrique Muñoz Aristegui, while General Porfirio Días, was the president of the country. This beautiful building, which shows the economic boom of the city in the early 20th century, is venue of the Museum of the City of Mérida, opened on June 29th, 2007.
