REVIEW

Named in this way to honor the Mexican archaeologist who studied this pre-Cortesian town. It preserves invaluable findings of Teotenango archaeological zones, Teotenango is a word that derives from Náhuatl to name this place and means “in the walls where gods are”. The urban complex was built on the plateau of Tetépetl Hill, to serve as a natural wall.
