The Museum of Natural History was inaugurated on October 24, 1964. It is located in the Second Section of the Chapultepec Forest. Nowadays, it depends of the Environment Secretariat of Mexico City.
It is a scientific and cultural spreading institution. A space of encounter and learning for visitors of all ages, whose purpose is to stimulate, document and spread every activity that promotes the knowledge about the universe, Earth and life.
