REVIEW

Its construction began on November 12, 1900. Its façade is made out of carved quarry in a neoclassic style; it is remarkable the ornamentation of French style, the balconies and the medallion with the image of Chopin.

For over hundred years, the facilities were used for a long period of time for showing movies until June 24, 1951 when a fire destroyed the building and the exterior walls were the only thing that stood. After its remodeling, the theater received its name after the pianist and composer born in Nazas, Durango and was used once again as a cine theater. In early 1991, began the most recent remodeling that concluded with a complete transformation of the theater.
