109th Anniversary of the Start of the Mexican Revolution

By reason of the 109th anniversary of the start of the Mexican Revolution, the federal government will develop scenic recreations and music performances in the capital of the country.

We will stage a historical reenactment of the Mexican Revolution featuring 1,130 performers characterized with costumes, props, and vehicles of the time.

Also, featuring María Inés Ochoa ‘La Rumorosa’ and the Band of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), who will perform traditional Mexican music such as: La Adelita and El Barzón, among other Mexican corridos.

It will be displayed a locomotive of 1899, model FCI-67, known as Petra, and two carts, which are part of the collection of the National Center for the Preservation of the Railroad Cultural Heritage: an express car NM-4858-narrow track, and a passenger car second class NM-966-narrow track, of 1935.

There will be a living mural: Rural Teacher, by Diego Rivera, and will be installed photo sets with life-size images of the time of the Revolution from the Casasola Archive and the museum exhibition: Mexican Revolution, the Third Transformation.
