One of the films that best portray the essence of the tumultuous year of 1968 in Mexico City is: The Cry (1968-1970), produced in the entrails of the University Center for Cinematographic Studies of UNAM. However, the images of this documentary echo in Olimpia, the most recent film by José Manuel Cravioto.

There are direct references to the feature film of 1968, but foremost is remembered the feeling of a generation willing to transform the social reality of those times when the repression was (and still is today) a fierce entity.
