Buñuel in Mexico

A tour guided by Buñuel’s own voice comes to the Gallery of the National Cinematheque.

The exhibition Buñuel in Mexico offers an introspective view of the Mexican productions of this heir to the Surrealism. It is divided into 10 modules and, following a path of texts written by the Spanish filmmaker, it encompasses since his arrival to Mexico, the production of some of his most renowned films and his personal life.

For its development we received help from different archives such as the Spanish Film Archive, Televisa Foundation, and Héctor and María García archive. Also of the Buñuel family, through Luis Bunuel Film Institute in Los Angeles, as well as of some friends of the deceased filmmaker, who lent interesting objects and photos to display.
