Workshop: Cinematography with Natural Light

In this workshop the students will obtain the ability to develop and learn a series if techniques that will enable them to film under any circumstance and work with the basic element that is natural light. They will learn to recognize the tools that they may have available to model the natural light in favor of the film and thus achieve a technological and aesthetical result of high level and competitive for a film (fiction or documentary), screened in a cinema theatre. This workshop has been designed by the cinematographer Hatuey Viveros from a compendium of techniques to work with natural light who has developed and learnt throughout his career, and that breaks with the myth that it is necessary to have illumination equipment –that many times we can’t pay for– in order to make a film.

 

HATUEY VIVIEROS cinefotógrafo egresado del CCC especializado en trabajar con luz natural. Como director de documentales estrenó en el FICM 2018 “Notas para no olvidar”; “Café (Cantos de humo)” obtuvo el Sesterce D ́or, en Visions Du Reel en 2014, el premio Abrazo en Biarritz, Mejor documental latinoamericano por Cinema Tropical en NY.
