Since its birth on 1994, Olmedo Museum has preserved the tradition by presenting to its visitors an altar of the dead, which stands as a tribute to different personalities and aspects of life. On 2019, the altar is dedicated to the architects and engineers, whose talent enabled to build great works of engineering, architecture, and infrastructure in Mexico City.

Also, it is a way to pay homage to the workers of the industry of construction, who have built, urbanized, and rebuilt this great metropolis for the last 70 years. Since its origins, Mexico City has suffered multiple transformations; however, the most dramatic, perhaps, was on the 20th century when several architectonic and infrastructure works that set it apart from other cities of the world, were born.
