Reflection and reading about this Mexican poet due to the anniversary of his birth.

Manuel Acuña was a poet and playwright considered one of the most prominent and characteristic representatives of Mexican romanticism.

His inflamed romantic character, the lyricism that was seizing, little by little, of his literary yearnings and his sickly nature gradually formed poems in which the flashes of his passion and his poetic genius are noticed, characteristics that the turbulence of his loves and indifference would accentuate, to lead him, in the midst of the madness of rejected love, to suicide.
