6th Celebration of the Indigenous Cultures, Native Peoples and Neighborhoods of Mexico City

The indigenous communities and native peoples of Mexico City are bearers of an ancestral cultural legacy. Because of this, each year they are called to the heart of this huge metropolis to get together and spread their artistic and cultural expressions.

Among the indigenous groups of Mexico that take part are: Amuzgo, Chol, Huave, Mazateco, Otomí, Zapotec, Totonaco, Tepehua, Chichimeca, Huasteco, Mazahua, Mixteco, Purépecha, Triqui, Tlahuica, Chinanteco, among others. Not only this, they are joined by other native peoples and neighborhoods of the city and groups from the guest country.

In this celebration you will be able to know more about the cultural diversity of the country through handicrafts, food, music, literature, traditional medicine, films, dances, poetry recitals, lectures, workshops, book launches, and ball game exhibitions, Don’t miss it!
