Visconti was an artist who distinguished for tow perspectives of cinema: on one hand he is the initiator od a big cinematographic movement, such as Italian Neorealism, and on the other hand, it talks to us about the aristocracy and its decadence, two opposite cinematographic trends.

Being an aristocrat of origin, he sees in image the syncretism of two completely opposite realities, such as communism and aristocracy but sums them up in the image, becoming an excellent chronicler of the history and of Italian society of the 19th century towards the 20th.

The objective of this perspective is to make a trip in history, of Italy as well as of the director’s career, from his origins to his legacy, analyzing his approaches, language, structures, and the great narrative richness of his visual as well as dramatic storytelling.

Starts on August 23rd and until December 6th, from 18 to 21 hours.
