Francisco Toledo and Carlos Monsiváis are two of the most notable creators of the 20th and early 21st centuries of our country, the first one, a great writer, a prolific author of texts about the most diverse themes of Mexico's cultural history and its national reality , and the second one, a unique creator, the most relevant plastic artist of contemporary Mexico.

Besides being some the most remarkable intellectuals in Mexico, they were joined by a great friendship whose axis was their position as social fighters.

Both found a path of friendship and complicity that led them to create, together, different artistic-literary proposals, an example of this, undoubtly, is the New Catechism for Remiss Indians, the project What the Wind to Juárez (46 mixed media on fossil, amate and paper, and a sculpture in colored wax), and the illustration of Fantastic Zoology Handbook by Jorge Luis Borges.

As a tribute to these two legends, but specially to their great friendship, the exhibition Francisco Toledo-Carlos Monsiváis is assembled.
