The presence of Sergei M. Eisenstein in Mexico (December 1930-March 1932), is one of the capital events in the history of national art and cinema. Born in 1998 and dying in 1948, thanks to his films Strike, Battleship Potemkin, October, Old and New, Alexander Nevsky, and Ivan the Terrible, Eisenstein is one of the great revolutionaries of cinema, the art of the 20th century and, without a doubt, he is one of the great artists of the avant garde of the same period.

Objectives: to approach to the nexus that are established between the film art, the history of society and culture, and the double meaning of assimilation-influence such as it was in the case of Eisenstein, as it can happen in other cases.
