On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of this renowned Mexican artist, the Museum of the Palace of Fine Arts and the Ricardo Martínez de Hoyos Foundation present a set of mostly unpublished works that include drawings and sketches, which reveal the love for the linear stroke, the study of human figuration, the creative process and literary links.
For this exhibit, mediation products have been designed in rooms, which will help the visitor to contextualize the work of the Mexican creator from different graphic and audiovisual elements, like an introductory video that documents the importance of Ricardo Martínez for Mexican plastic and his work of studio, as well as an anecdotal video of specialists who had contact with the painter during the development of his artistic career.
Likewise, it presents a timeline showing the chronology of the artist and his development in the mid of the last century, along with a map of relationships that will allow the public to meet the characters who starred his artistic and personal life.
