After the death of her second husband, Bernarda Alba decides to impose an eight-year seclusion to her daughters, in order to consecrate his memory, and thus unleashes a conflicto between the reality and desire. Women who wander across a space of limits and rigor, who shake the walls of the house, and in every step claim for a much needed liberation.

More tan a tale about imprisonment, Lorca’s play stands as an explosive tide of unbearable situations where Bernarda, turning her back to her daughters’ natural desirtes of their minds and bodies, causes a series of dramatic episodes whose intensity is continuous, because the presence of Pepe “el Romano”, engaged to the eldest daughter, unleashes the natural passions and love symbolized in each one of them.
