The phonogram number 69 of the series Musical Testimony of Mexico: Ritual Music of Huave People, analyzes the sound-musical expressions of the Huaves of the municipality of San Mateo del Mar, Oaxaca, related to their ceremonial calendar. Music, bells, noise of cowbells; shouts, whistles, onomatopoeias of natural sounds and snored ritual dialogues, integrate the repertoire of the soundtrack of this society, of its rites, festivals and religious ceremonies, social frameworks in which the experience of listening together, derives from a device that allows the dynamic reproduction of knowledge and relevant social feelings.
