The purpose of the exhibition Currency and History in the Centennial of the Constitution of 1917 is to distribute the importance and impact of the Political Constitution of the United States of Mexico in the national monetary circulation. It was during the government of Venustiano Carranza that the creation of a Single Distributing Bank was promoted, to provide the country with currency and paper money, although this was achieved until the government of Plutarco Elías Calles, with the creation of the Bank of Mexico.

The sample consists of 70 pieces, including coins, banknotes, and bilimbiques, corresponding to the Porfiriato, Mexican Revolution and Post-Revolution, belonging to the Bank of Mexico Numismatics Collection (CNBM).
