From a historical perspective, Carolina Bracco, researcher at the University of Buenos Aires, will present the main features of the national movements and of women movements in three Arab countries: Egypt, Palestine and Algeria.

She explains how the movements of national vindication and of women, in general, have been developed jointly and therefore have had close and troubled relationships at the same time. As a complement to the seminar, we will screen five Arab movies: "Words of Women from the Egyptian Revolution", of Leil-Zahra Mortada (2012); "They do not exist," Mustafa Abu Ali (1974); “Swings”, Basel Ramses (2007); "The Battle of Algiers", Gillo Pontecorvo (1965) and "Letter to my sister," Habiba Djahnine (2006).

The event will take place from Monday to Friday, June 18 to 22, as from 11:00 hours. Register Now!
