Exhibition project organized by the Museum of the Palace of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Anthropology and the Musée de l'Elysée of Switzerland, which gives continuity to the homonymous colloquium held in February 2016.

Based on a constant dialogue among art, science and anthropology, the exhibition offers an unprecedented view of different worldviews, idiosyncrasies and cultural imaginaries that have given rise to these disturbing hybrid creatures.

Hybrid art is a combination of past and present images that are deconstructed to generate a vacuum. An absence Then, a new image appears. This unprecedented creation proposes a different perspective of understanding and seeing the world: an imaginary. The process is repeated infinitely.

As long as there is an artist who imagines, through the dismantling of established forms in order to do something new, (we can call that art) the world will have art objects called hybrids (coming from imagination). The nature of hybrid art is to seek interdisciplinarity, it must not be limited to a single field of creativity, on the contrary; to cover what it needs it and transgress in order to invent.
