The Organizing Board of the Mexican Liberal Party

The exhibition shows through different materials how at the end of the 19th century there was a growing discontent among broad sectors of society due to the conditions of poverty in which the majority of Mexicans lived, the enormous social inequality and the taxation policy of the government of Porfirio Díaz. This dissatisfaction led to people from different areas of the country, with liberal ideas and thoughts, to convene a congress which was attended by more than 100 organizations with the objective of achieving a social and political change in Mexico. This room displays the protagonists of this ideological movement, their ways of struggle and the influence they had on the armed movements that began in 1910.
