The Orchestra and Choir of Traditional Mexican Music is a group of national selections of 259 members between children, youngsters, parents and teachers of the National System of Education. It is an inter-secretarial action between the Public Education Secretariat and the Culture Secretariat as part of the Culture in your school program, which seeks to motivate the enjoyment and experience of art in children and youngsters.

In an intensive camp of musical work, the repertoire to be performed in five concerts will show the spirit and heart of Mexico immersed in the Son Huasteco, Corridos from Sinaloa, Piruekas from Michoacán and zapateado from Tabasco, among other styles and genres of traditional music.
