The Memorial of ‘68

The Memorial is a symbolic space where the conscience is created through the reflection of the public on the events lived in the Summer of 1968 in our country. Concepts such as injustice, institutional violence, human rights, peaceful protest, political prisoners, or democracy are part of the questions that led us to the construction of the collective memory about the recent history of our country.

It is made up by a multimedia installation whose content is sustained in footage from cinema and video, photos, and audio, as well as by objects and documents that give an ample context to the Movement in a historic horizon: 1. Preamble and political and social context, national and international, of the 1960s; 2. Chronology of the Student Movement; 3. Repercussions in the political and social life of Mexico.
