It is an extraordinary collection, exhibited for the first time, made up by human skulls with intentional deformity, long bones, giant trumpet seashells, limestone jambs and lintels, and other objects from the Mixtec-Zapotec region of Oaxaca and Puebla, Mexico.
These objects belonged to an ancient community ruled by a group of wise seniors called Masters who carved with obsidian skulls, bones and shells of Masters who have recently died, with particular scenes of their lives.
