In Álamos, handicrafts are varied and in the Handicrafts Market you can find beautiful objects made with palm, brass, glass, clay, and macramé; also textiles, rugs, embroidery in wool, and serapes. Also, you can find handicrafts made by the Guajirío and Mayo peoples.
According to the chronicles of the people, on the 17th century were taught workshops to learn trades that united the talent of the indigenous communities, such as: La Mesa Colorada, Guajaray, Bavícora, El Paso, and Basiroa. It is from here that there is a profuse production of rustic furniture made in wood, figurines in lighter woods, such as chilicote.
