Museum of Californias

An Approach to the Peninsular History

Inaugurated on February 24, 2000, the museum displays a permanent exhibition of objects representative of the regional history, ranging from prehistoric times to the second half of the 20th century.

Designed in a helical ramp of 2.200 sq. meters, it is the only cultural space in the city that displays a historical synthesis, the diversity of flora and fauna of the region, as well as the paleontological heritage of Baja California incorporating interactive resources to traditional museological discourse.

It also has a temporary exhibition room, dedicated to temporary exhibition of collections and archaeological, anthropological and historical pieces of the pre-Hispanic cultures, and other thematic exhibitions.
