Perceptions of Memory

The exhibition is integrated by works of the Oaxacan plastic artists: Cristobal Montoya, Eliezer Jogli and Ángel Velasco. They recreate the memory and mainly transfer it to acrylic and oil painting.

Montoya has forged a style where melancholy finds a space and presents this time a series of works in which women stand out accompanied by organic and symbolic elements.

On the other hand, Ángel Velasco, an artist with indigenous roots, uses mixed techniques, graphite, stencil, oil paintings, engravings, etc, to recreate flora and fauna, in a human- ecosystem relationship.

Jogli captures dreamlike issues in his canvas. Through human characters, he talks about the situation of society, for example, children at the street crossings selling products or performing acts to earn a living.
