The Lesson

In a small village in Bulgaria, Nadezhda, a young professor, tries to discover the student who robs in her class to teach a lesson around the concept of good and bad. However, when she is indebted to some money-lenders, would she know the right way? What factor makes a person become a delinquent? The first fiction feature film by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov tries to answer this question by revealing little by little the details about its protagonist, while delving in the everyday static life of a Bulgarian village, all of this with the objective of symbolizing the rebellion of the human being facing today’s world, defined as cynical and mercantile.
